If you are reading this, then you found one of our cameras!
This QR code is attached to a motion-activated wildlife camera, which captures images of animals within Laurel Hill Cemetery as part of a larger biodiversity study. This research is being conducted by the Integrative Ecology Lab at Temple University in collaboration with Laurel Hill Cemetery to better understand urban wildlife populations and ecosystems.
The camera is equipped with a motion sensor that activates when movement is detected and takes a photo every ten seconds while activity continues. These cameras are designed to operate discreetly and are commonly used in ecological research to monitor wildlife behavior, species presence, and activity patterns without causing disturbance.
Although the camera may occasionally capture images of people who walk past it, rest assured that any photos containing identifiable individuals will be discarded. Thank you for supporting this important research into urban biodiversity!
