I use community and landscape ecology approaches to understand how nature and people can flourish in the Anthropocene. For my dissertation research I’m studying urban birds in the Philadelphia region. I’m working to understand how people can benefit urban birds through improving their habitats and how birds can benefit people by providing ecosystem services. I enjoy doing field work and coupling observational data with experiments to answer my research questions. You can learn more about my research at my website.
