iEcoLab Welcomes New Lab Managers – Both Named Hannah!

This summer, the iEcoLab hired two new lab managers/research assistants to oversee daily operations and help conduct research. Coincidentally, both new lab managers are named Hannah!

Hannah Joseph graduated this spring from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She has been working for the iEcoLab since January 2024 and completed an undergraduate research project on creating a GPT for Spotted Lanternfly (SLF-GPT) this past March. This GPT allows for the community to gain more knowledge about spotted lanternflies, as it is compiled of research articles, peer-reviewed papers, and management protocols. Hannah J will be taking the lead on the more technical and computer driven work at iEcoLab.

Hannah Slesinski graduated this spring from the University of Delaware with an honors Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. Hannah S is new to the iEcoLab, but she comes with experience conducting entomological field work on forest pests and invasive species as well as monitoring vulnerable salt marsh bird species for the Delaware State Government. Hannah S will be taking the lead on some field work projects for the iEcoLab.

We are so happy to have both Hannahs as a part of our team!
