The iEcoLab has kicked off an exciting new project to study mammal behavior in urban environments. Our team has installed wildlife cameras at Laurel Hill Cemetery, a historic green space in Philadelphia.
In just a short time, the cameras have captured many photos of local wildlife. White-tailed deer have been the most frequent visitors, but we’ve also spotted foxes, raccoons, squirrels, and birds. These images offer a glimpse into the lives of urban animals.
This project is designed to run long-term, which will allow us to track seasonal changes in wildlife activity and species diversity. We can’t wait to discover what other animals will appear over time! Check out some of our favorite photos we have captured so far below.
