I am a biology major in the College of Science and Technology. I am interested in conservation ecology, especially of plants and bugs. I am also interested in the use of art, particularly cartoons, for communicating scientific ideas and information. In the lab, I work on processing data for the invasive spotted lanternfly. I am compiling a dataset of photos of SLF interacting with other species (and vice versa), which I collect by running searches on social media sites. I am also working on a project to parse and tidy data provided by the USDA from reports of SLF and their host, the invasive tree of heaven.
